October Horse

twilightponyI read about a practice called "the October Horse". It involves a race between pairs of horses and the horse on the right side of the winning team gets slaughtered. As in speared. And then the town's folk squabble over his or her head. Ugh. What a way to reward somepony that ran a race for you. Hopefully you've stopped doing that.
